The Father's Sabbath Day

Father made all of creation in 6 days. On the 7th day He rested and sanctified the 7th day (He made the 7th day Holy):
Genesis 2:1-3
"1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."

Each day that God created something ends with the phrase “and the evening and the morning were the… day”. This tells us that, in God’s eyes, a day lasts from evening (nighttime hours) to morning (daytime hours). In order to know that evening has come, we know that the sun will go down and the moon will come up. This is a sign of the day and night being separated (see Genesis 1:14-19 below).

On the 4th day of creation, Father gave us the Lights in the sky. Father made the Lights in the heaven (space) to be His signs for us of His “seasons” (see vs. 14), His Holy Days/Sabbaths:

Genesis 1:14-19
"14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day."

Given these passages, we see that God gave us these signs to separate the night from the day, and these signs were to be used to know when His seasons (His days and years) would occur. From these passages we can see that the 7th day begins in the evening, when nighttime arrives, and ends the following evening when the next nighttime arrives. If you think about it, this makes perfect since. Look at the passage below which describes what everything looked like when God started making creation. God started in the darkness (Night) and ended in the light (Day)…

Genesis 1:1-5
“1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

Out of all 7 days in the week God created, the 7th day is Holy to God. The 7th day is so Holy that God gave it to His children (the Israelites) when He took them out of bondage in Egypt, even before He gave them His commandments (Torah):

Exodus 16:4-12, 22-30
“4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.
5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the Lord hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:
7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?
8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.
9 And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the Lord: for he hath heard your murmurings.
10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God.”

“22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.
26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
28 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
29 See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
30 So the people rested on the seventh day.”

As we can see from verses 4 and 28 above, God gives the Israelites His Holy Sabbath Day of Rest, and He uses this day to test His children to see if they will obey His “law”. If they will obey His commandment to rest on the 7th day and to not work on the 7th day, they will be given more (he that is faithful in little will be faithful in much – see Luke 16:8-17 later in this post).

Not only were the Lights created on the 4th day, but in the 4th commandment God says the day He sanctified is to be kept by us too...

Exodus 20:1-3, 8-11
"1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
"8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

Why are we to keep the 7th day Holy?... because God rested on the 7th day, because God sanctified the 7th day and God made the 7th day Holy. This day is a shadow of the "Day of Rest" we will have when Yeshua returns.

The Sabbath (the 7th Day God Sanctified) is a sign (vs. 17 below) between God and His children:

Exodus 31:12-18
"12 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.
14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."

God made the 7th day Holy, sanctified, and commanded (vs.16) that the 7th day is a Sabbath to be kept and observed for a perpetual covenant.

We are not to work on the Sabbath Day:
Exodus 35:1-3
"1 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the Lord hath commanded, that ye should do them.
2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the Lord: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day."

We are to be holy because God is Holy… we are to fear our mother and father, and we are to keep His Sabbaths:
Leviticus 19:1-3, 30
"1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy.
3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God."
"30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord."

The 7th Day isn’t the only Sabbath. Yaweh says ALL of His Holy Days are called “Sabbaths”, “Feasts”, and “Seasons” (Gen.1:14; Lev. 23:4). The fact that God tells Moses about the feasts, then before mentioning the new ones God mentions the Sabbath (7th day of rest), shows that God thinks of the 7th Day as one of the feasts days as well…

Leviticus 23
"1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.”

(The 7th Day is a Sabbath – a Feast unto God)
“3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.”
“4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.”

(Feast of Passover)
“5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's passover.”

(Unleavened Bread – connected to Passover and First Fruits)
“6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.”

(Feast of First Fruits – connected to Unleavened Bread and Shavuot by Counting the Days/Omer)
“10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.”

(Counting the Days/Omer – Not a Sabbath, but connects First Fruits to Shavuot/Pentecost)
“15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.”

(Feast of Trumpets)
“24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.”

(Day of Atonement)
“27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.”
“32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.”

(Feast of Tabernacles/Booths/Tents)
“34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.”
“37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
38 Beside the sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord.”

(More on the Feast of Tabernacles)
“39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.”
“42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:”
(For a more in-depth look at the Feasts of God read Leviticus 23 in its entirety.)

There are more Sabbaths than just the ones listed above…

Sabbath of the Land:
Leviticus 25:1-4
"1 And the Lord spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.
3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard."

Sabbath of Jubilee:
Leviticus 25:8-14
"8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
11 A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
12 For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
13 In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.
14 And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:"

We see the ten commandments referred to again in the following passage. The “Sabbaths” referred to in verse 2 below are referencing the feasts above. From this passage we can see that God wants us to consider His Feasts as Sabbaths and remember, keep Holy, and observe them too. God refers to His statutes, and commandments in this passage showing us they are just as important as His Sabbath Day of Rest on the 7th Day. This is also where we see the promises and blessings God gives us for following His Torah (Yeshua)…

Leviticus 26:1-13
"1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.
2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
11 And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
13 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright."

Here is where God tells Moses to repeat the history of the Israelites and repeat the Torah to them. He did this because the Israelites that God brought out of Egypt transgressed God’s Torah and died (except for the 2 who were faithful) before they reached the Promised Land 40 years later. The Torah needed to be read to their children so they would know how to live in obedience to God, how to worship God, how to treat each other, how to live their lives and be fair, etc.:

Deuteronomy 5:1-15
"1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
4 The Lord talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
5 (I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to shew you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
6 I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
11 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.
13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day."

If you say the 7th day is no longer the Sabbath, this says you have the authority to change the commandments of God because the 4th of the ten commandments is to keep the 7th day Holy (See Genesis 1, Exodus 16, and Exodus 20). The 7th Day is the Sabbath, the Day God sanctified and made Holy, the Day He rested and the day He gave us to rest. To say the 7th Day Sabbath was only for the Israelites and the Jews is the same as saying the ten commandments are only for the Israelites and the Jews.

To say the 10 commandments and the Torah are only for the Israelites and the Jews is truer than you think. Only by being grafted in to the Olive Tree of Yaweh (God) through Yeshua (Jesus) can we become a son of God. Once we are grafted in to the Olive Tree we are considered to be adopted into the House of Israel, the family of Yaweh. This is the only way we can obtain the inheritance of the blessings given to the sons of God, to obtain the inheritance given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel), and to obtain the right to enter into the Promised Land of Heaven. As adopted children, we are to follow Yaweh’s Ways just like His Son Yeshua did. We are to follow God’s Torah, for it is a sign of our separation from the world and our being set-apart for Him alone.

You cannot change the fact that the 7th day is when God rested, the 7th day is the day He commanded us to keep, and the 7th day is the day Yeshua Himself kept. To say that the 1st day is holy now and not the 7th day is to say it doesn't matter what God and Yeshua say is Holy. It is like saying you changed the day all creation was completed and the day God rested, the day God sanctified and made Holy.
Saying this means your authority is higher than His... that's blasphemy!

Yeshua Himself said He is not higher than His Father. Yeshua recognizes His Father has authority over Him and He followed EVERYTHING Father told Him to do. Yeshua obeyed Abba’s commandments entirely, perfectly, willingy, and joyfully… we should follow His example and do the same to the best of our human abilities with the help of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaChodesh) which gives us the strength, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and comfort that we need in order to walk out our faith in Yeshua through following Abba’s Torah.

John 14:31
“31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.”

John 12:44-50
“44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”

Luke 22:39-44
“39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

This world has gone astray, even those who profess Him as their Savior. The following passage is what the Father says about those who go astray from His Ways (Torah). Does it sound familiar to you? There's a reason why...

Ezekiel 20:23-44
"23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;
24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.
25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord.
27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.
29 Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name whereof is called Bamah unto this day.
30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?
31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be enquired of by you.
32 And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
33 As I live, saith the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.
36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God.
37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
40 For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.
42 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.
43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.
44 And ye shall know that I am the Lord when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God."

God tested the Israelites in Exodus when He gave them manna and commanded them to collect a daily amount for 5 days, collect a double portion on the 6th day, and rest on the 7th day. God tested them to see if they would obey His law and be faithful in this one thing. Yeshua refers to being faithful in one thing (in a little amount/least) and says they will be faithful in much so they will be given much. Those who won’t be faithful in a little will not be faithful in much so they will not receive any more…

Luke 16:8-12
“8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?”
Yeshua goes on to say you cannot “serve two masters” – you will be faithful to only one and will despise the other:
Luke 16:13-17
“13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.”

Which Master are you serving... that depends on the Sabbath you keep.

Above, Yeshua refers to “The law and the prophets” and says they will not “pass”, not even one little part will “fail”.

I submit to you that the ten commandments is just the first part of the Torah. I submit to you that those who do not keep the 7th Day (Friday evening to Saturday evening) as the Sabbath have failed, they have broken one of the commandments (the first part of the Torah), they have been found unfaithful in one part of the Torah. They have been unfaithful in one thing and have been unfaithful in the rest of the Torah. Those who keep the 7th Day of Rest Holy, and keep the rest of the Torah to the best of their human abilities with the help of the Holy Spirit, have been given “much” because they have been found faithful in “little”.

When Yeshua says the words in this passage…
“17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” (Matthew 5:17)

This is what He means…
Hebrews 10:3-10
“3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

In verse 7 we see the words “in the volume of the book it is written of me” – Yeshua is referring to the Torah. Yeshua is telling us the Torah is written about Him! To say the Torah has been “done away with” is to say Yeshua has been “done away with”. To say the Torah “doesn’t apply to me because it was given to the Israelites” is completely true… if you have NEVER been saved - after all, why would a “Book” about Yeshua apply to anyone who is not saved? Those who are not saved are “UNDER” the law referred to in the Torah – spiritual death because of their unrepentant sins that are unforgiven because they DID NOT ACCEPT YESHUA (TORAH/TRUTH) as their SACRIFICE (Way of life) for their sins.

Yeshua reminds us…
John 14:6, 15, 21, 23-24
“6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
“15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
“21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
“23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”

Turn back to Father and His Ways today, repent, ask for forgiveness from His Son, and follow His Son in Father's Ways (Torah) today!

Will You Be Found Righteous In God's Sight?

"11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified."
Romans 2:11-13
Verse 11
God does not have respect of persons. He will not show favoritism or be partial.
"Respect" = favoritism, partiality (Strong's Concordance).
Verse 12
All who have sinned outside the framework of Torah will die outside the framework of Torah.
If you have never been saved (never repented of your sins, never asked Yeshua to forgive you of those sins, and never asked Him for salvation) then you are outside the framework of God's Torah.
If you sin while outside the framework of Torah (without salvation) then you will die outside the framework of Torah (because you were never saved).
All who have sinned within the framework of Torah will be judged by Torah.
If you are saved (have repented of your sins, asked Yeshua to forgive you of those sins, and asked Him for salvation) then you are inside the framework of God's Torah.
If you sin once you have received salvation, you will be judged by God's Torah.
Verse 13
For it is not merely the hearers of Torah whom God considers righteous; rather, it is the doers of what Torah says who will be made righteous in God’s sight.
You have to do (hear, learn, study, keep, do, follow) the Torah in order to be made righteous in God's eyes, not just hear it. If you do not do the Torah then you are not considered righteous in God's eyes.
How do we know what sin is?
By reading the Torah to find out what God says is sin.
What does God say sin is?
Sin is the transgression of the Torah...
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." (1 John 3:4).
If you are not saved, you will spiritually die and be condemned to hell for eternity.
If you are saved, you will spiritually live eternally in Heaven.
If you are saved and do not follow the Torah, you will be judged by the Torah anyway. The same goes for those who are saved and follow the Torah.
Those who are not saved will be condemned immediately. Those who are saved are the ones who will be judged.
What does "judged" mean?
Judged doesn't automatically mean "guilty". Judged means someone looks at the evidence and decides whether or not you are guilty and what the penalty or reward will be.
Think of the courts we have on this earth. There's a plaintiff and a defendant. The judge sits in front and decides if the one on trial is guilty or not guilty. If you are found not guilty, you go free. If you are found guilty, you pay the penalty.
Those who are not saved are already judged guilty and will pay the penalty of eternal spiritual death.
If you are the plaintiff taking someone to court for something owed to you in some way and the judge decides you are in fact owed something, they will judge in your favor and reward you with what is owed to you. If they find that you are not owed anything, they will not reward you with that thing.
Those who are saved will be judged to see if they are owed a reward or not based on how they lived their lives according to God's Ways (Torah).
"Judge" - decree, determine, judge; Properly, to distinguish, i.e. Decide (mentally or judicially); by implication, to try, condemn, punish -- avenge, conclude, condemn, damn, decree, determine, esteem, judge, go to (sue at the) law, ordain, call in question, sentence to, think - to separate, put asunder; to pick out, select, choose; to approve, esteem; to prefer.
God is the Judge.
He uses His Law (Torah) to decide whether you are owed a reward or not.
If you have broken any of His Laws (Torah) you will not be rewarded.
If you have not broken any of His Laws (Torah) you will be rewarded.
For those who are saved, there remains a judgement to determine if you will be rewarded or not, and how much you will be rewarded if you are found to be righteous in God's sight.
The questions you need to ask yourself are:
* Am I truly saved?
* Do I follow Torah?
* Will I be found righteous in God's sight?
* Do I want rewards for righteousness in order to have something to lay at the feet of our Savior Yeshua and Yaweh our God?
* Will I be counted as least in the Kingdom or as great in the Kingdom of Yaweh (God)?
Matthew 5:17-20
"17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Romans 2:11-13
"11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified."

The Sons of God

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." (1 John 3:1)

The ability to "be called the sons of God" is bestowed on those who have repented of their sins and been forgiven, who believe on God our Father, who believe on His Son Yeshua as the Son of God and as the Savior who died for their sins.

John 1:1-4, 9-13
"1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men."
"9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

Our Father loves us so much that He gave us His Son to die on the cross in our place for our sins so that, through Yeshua’s Sacrifice, we can be called "the sons of God". Since God loves us this much, to send His Son to die for our sins, to call us His sons, then why don't we love Him enough to act, do, worship, and serve God like His Son? Ask yourself 'What did Yeshua do?', 'How did Yeshua act?', 'How did Yeshua worship and serve His Father?'. If we are given the ability to be called "sons of God", then why don't we try to be as close to who Yeshua is as we can humanly be?

1 John 2:1-2
"1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." (1 John 3:2).

We don't yet know what we shall be, but we do know that we will be like Him (Yeshua). We don't know exactly everything about Him yet, but we do know a lot of things that He did and a lot about who He is:

We know Yeshua is the Word of God (God’s Torah, God in the flesh):
“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1).

We know Yeshua is the Word of God (God's Torah). We know Yeshua is God. We know Yeshua was with God in the beginning before God made all of creation, in fact nothing was made that was made without Yeshua:
John 1:2-3
“2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

We know Yeshua is Light:
1 John 1:5
"5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."

We know how to know Him, through keeping His commandments, and His commandments are His Father’s commandments:
1 John 2:3
"3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.”

We know that if we do not keep His commandments we do not know Him:
1 John 3:4
“4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

We know that Yeshua is the Light of the world and that if we believe on Him we should not abide in darkness. If we hear His words and don’t believe them we are not judged by Him, but are judged by the Word that Yeshua speaks. The Word Yeshua speaks is not of Himself, but is the commandment which the Father gave Him to speak. God’s commandment is life everlasting:
John 12:46-50

We know that those who keep (read, study, learn, do and teach) His Word then the love of God is perfected, in fact this is how we know we are in Him. If we are in Him we should walk as He walked. The commandment God gave Yeshua to speak to us is not a new commandment, but is in fact the old commandment that we had from the beginning… the Torah of God. Knowing that we have the hope of being the sons of God we ought to purify ourselves even as He is pure:
1 John 3:5
“5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning."
"And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." (1 John 3:3).

Yeshua and His disciple John, make it simple - if we hope to be the "sons of God", then we should make ourselves pure because God is pure, because God's Son, Yeshua, is pure.

1 Corinthians 6:12
"12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any."

If you say, “For me, everything is permitted” (lawful according to the law of the land), well, that may be so, but not everything is helpful (expedient). "Everything is permitted”? Maybe, but as the sons of God, we should not let anything gain control over us. We should choose to abstain from anything that could be considered wrong or sinful to God, even in the smallest (least) way.

Yeshua tells us that we should not even break one of the least of these commandments in the Torah, nor teach others to break them:
Matthew 5:19
"19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Considering Yeshua came down from Heaven to be born on this earth as one of us, He walked the Torah of God to be our example, He healed us in so many different ways while He was here on earth, He suffered through ridicule, blasphemy, threats to His life, those who hated Him for telling them His Father’s Truths, was beaten, scourged, whipped, had a crown of huge thorns pressed into His head, was nailed to the cross through His hands and feet, was spat upon and had things thrown at Him… all these things He went through and NEVER did anything wrong, He NEVER sinned. He did this willingly so that we wouldn’t have to die for our sins, even though it was our just punishment. Considering ALL of this, and that He rose from the grave on the 3rd day and ascended on Shavuot to go to Heaven to prepare a place for us… after EVERYTHING He has done and is doing for us, why would you not keep the Torah when He and His Father tell us to, forever, through every generation?

James 4:7-10
"7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."

“Humble yourselves”… do not think that you are better than our Savior Yeshua HaMeshiach, who walked in Father’s Ways and followed His commandments. Humble yourselves and He will lift you up.

If you have repented of your sins, what sins have you repented from? How did you know this was sin? What does God say sin is?

John goes on to describe what sin is:
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."  (1 John 3:4).

You cannot be pure of your sin by transgressing the law of God.

James 4:4-5, 17
"4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?"
"17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

To sin against God (to transgress the law of God/God's Torah) is to commit adultery against God (fornication against God - because you are doing things that are of the devil - you are in essence doing things (sinning) with the devil - you are fornicating with the devil).

1 John 1:1-3
"1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ."

"And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin." (1 John 3:5).

1 John 3:5 gives us the perfect example: we are to follow Jesus' perfect example -  "... in him (Jesus) is no sin". If Jesus died to take away our sins (pay OUR debt of OUR death for OUR sins so we don't have to die because of OUR sins), then we should follow Him (Jesus) and not sin. Jesus died so we could be "sons of God", why wouldn't you want to follow His example? After all, He IS the Son of God.

"Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him." (1 John 3:6).

John puts it simply - if we abide in Jesus, we don't sin. This doesn't mean we can never be accused of sinning anymore, even though we are sinning. This means we will choose to consciously make the decision to not sin, we won't commit any sin. If we continue to sin we have not truly seen Jesus or even truly known Him, and who He is, at all (vs.6).

" Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous." (1 John 3:7).

Verse 7 says that, if we are truly saved by Jesus, we will do what is righteous "even as He is righteous". The law of God (Torah) is righteous. So no one who remains united with him continues sinning...
Psalm 119:160
"Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever."

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8).

We have no excuse. Verse 8 tells us that if we continue to sin (transgress the law of God) then we are of the devil. If we continue to sin, we are cheating on God and fornicating against God.

It is the person that keeps on doing what is right who is righteous, just as God is righteous. The person who keeps on sinning is from the Adversary, because from the very beginning the Adversary has kept on sinning. It was for this very reason that the Son of God appeared, to destroy these doings of the Adversary.

1 Corinthians 6:16-18
"16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body."

I am not saying that we will never fail. I am saying that we make a conscience, deliberate, willful effort to strive to do what God tells us to do and to not do what He says for us not to do... and when we fail, and we realize we have failed, that we repent and get back on track to striving not to fail again, we consciously, willfully, deliberately make a strong effort not to fail again. And we may fail again, we are only human. But that's where God's favor and mercy come into our situations. God gives us His favor when He sees we are trying our humanly best to follow Him and His Ways, to follow His Son and be as much like Him as we humanly can be.

God has mercy on us because He knows we are as fragile as the flowers that grow in the field. He provides the flower's sunlight, food, water, and nutrients because the flower is stationary and cannot move on its own. We are stationary here on earth and we cannot move, on our own, in our lives, without His moving us first (He gives us a heart for Him and His Ways). We cannot provide our own spiritual food and water, but must rely on Him to give it to us (His Written Word/Torah). We cannot provide our own spiritual nutrients, but must rely on Him to provide it for us (the Holy Spirit). We cannot produce our own Son-Light, but must rely on Him to provide it for us, and He did in His Son Yeshua.

" Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." (1 John 3:9).

Verse 9 is NOT telling us that if we are saved, born of God through Jesus, that we cannot sin, nor is it saying that if we sin we are not guilty of that sin since we are saved. What this verse is truly saying is that, if we truly are born of God, sons of God, we cannot sin because the Holy Spirit is living in us and telling us, reminding us, what sin is. Sometimes we sin accidentally, but when we are made aware of that sin we need to repent of it and try not to do it again. We are to be continually renewed by the transforming of our minds by reading and studying God's Word and praying asking for understanding, knowledge, wisdom, etc.

This is why it is so important to read the Word of God daily, especially the Torah which tells us what sin is. When these Scriptures are fresh in our minds, and refreshed in our minds by continually reading His Word and having our minds stayed on Him and His Ways continually, those same Scriptures will be easily recalled in our minds by the Holy Spirit when we are tempted to sin. Knowing ALL that Jesus did for us and is still doing for us, why would you want to willingly sin knowing it continues to put Jesus on the cross as our Sacrifice?

Verse 9 is also saying that we have the Holy Spirit (the "seed" of Yeshua) remaining in us. Yeshua cannot sin because He is born of God. Therefore, if we truly do have His Seed remaining in us, we will fight hard to not deliberately sin because we know that our bodies are the temple of Yeshua, the temple of God, and we are to keep our temples pure.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
"19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

1 Peter 1:13-16
"13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."

"In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." (1 John 3:10).

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." (1 John 3:1)

This is why the world does not know us... we do not truly show Yeshua to others because we do not act like Him, talk like Him, follow the Torah like He did, etc. The world will never know Him if we do not be as close to Him as we can possibly be. We can talk to them about who Yeshua is and all He has done for us, but if we do not truly walk as He did so others can see as well as hear about Him, how can we expect them to believe on Him as we do?

1 Corinthians 2:11-16
“11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.”

Beware of false prophets who speak evil against the Word of God!

Study of 2 Peter 2:1-4, 7-22...

This post is going to ruffle some more feathers, but it is the Truth. I may lose friends and family on this one, but I must post what God wants me to post.
I encourage you to test the Scriptures and make sure I am telling you what God says. Although I would never lie to you, you need to see the Truth for yourselves so you know it is His Word, not mine. Pray about what you read here, and ask Father to show you the Truth and to give you understanding.

2 Peter 2:1
"1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."

Peter tells us there will be false teachers telling us to deny what God told us is forever ("denying the Lord that bought them").

God bought us with the blood of His Son Yeshua as our Sacrifice for our sins:

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
"19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

2 Peter 2:2
"2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of."

"Pernicious" means: profitless, unprofitable, ruinous, detrimental; properly, not able to hold together (cohere), i.e. "not profitable because lacking cohesion"; (figuratively) missing benefit because not complete (especially missing something essential). (Strong's Concordance).

So we see that "pernicious ways" are unprofitable, not able to hold together because they lack cohesion and are not complete, they are missing something essential.

What does the Bible say about being profitable?

Titus 3:8
"8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men."

"Good works" are the works of the Word of God/Torah which are good in themselves and valuable to the community.

2 Timothy 3:15-17
"15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

From verse 15 above, we see that "the Holy Scriptures" which they had known from a child (which can only be the Torah, the Prophets, and the Sayings from the Old Testament) are able to make us wise unto Salvation (they teach us about how to worship God, how to treat others, what sin is so we avoid it, and they lead us to Yeshua). All of these Scriptures were inspired by God AND ARE PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, REPROOF, CORRECTION, AND INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Verse 16 above says they are for instruction in righteousness. By this very passage we see that THE TORAH IS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Verse 17 says the Torah will make the man of God be perfect, thoroughly furnished in order to do good works. From this verse we see that the Torah of God is Yeshua and Yeshua is the Torah. We know this because without Yeshua we cannot be perfect, yet this verse says "All Scripture" (which we know they only had the Old Testament from a child) "is profitable"... "that the man of God may be made perfect". So the Torah must be Yeshua, and we already know Yeshua is the Torah (John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.").

Woe to those who teach Torah is "done away with" and is not profitable! Here's what God says about those who turn their ear from hearing (listening, learning, keeping, doing) and who teach this others to do the same:

2 Peter 2:3
"3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."

Those who teach against the Word of God (Torah) are called (by God, not by me) covetous and merchandisers of others. They will be judged and will be subject to damnation.

Yeshua Himself says those who break even just one of the least of the commandments of the Torah, and who teach others to do the same, will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Yeshua also says unless their righteousness exceeds the Pharises and scribes (who followed the Torah but added to it their oral laws, who also healed people and called demons out of them) they will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven at all.

Even their prayers are considered an abomination to God:

Proverbs 28:9
"He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination."

If God didn't even spare the angels who sinned (transgressed the law of God), then He won't spare those who disobey the Torah and who teach against it either:

Matthew 7:21-23
"21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

2 Peter 2:4, 7-9
"4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;"
"7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:"

God knows how to deliver His children from the temptations to disobey His Torah. He will deliver us from even going around those who teach against His Torah.

Those who continue to disobey Torah lust after unclean things (such as disobeying the food laws and worshiping God in pagan ways and on pagan days). They "despise government". This doesn't mean they despise the law of the land. It means they despise God's Torah. Torah is the structure for God's Government (His Holy Nation - Israel)...

2 Peter 2:10-11
"10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord."

They are considered "presumptuous", meaning they presume things in His Word instead of reading what it literally says. They add words to the Scriptures. If it is not specifically written in the Bible, it is a LIE! We know this because Timothy says the Scriptures were inspired by God. God wouldn't have changed anything without inspiring someone to write it in His Word.

2 Timothy 3:16
"16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God..."

Peter says some pretty strong things about those who teach against the Torah of God:

2 Peter 2:12-14
"12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:"

Peter says they "have forsaken the right way" and that they follow the way of the pagans who love unrighteousness:

2 Peter 2:15
"15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;"

Peter says that Balaam was rebuked for his iniquity. What was his iniquity?

Numbers 22:9-12, 20-22
"9 And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee?
10 And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hath sent unto me, saying,
11 Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.
12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed."
"20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.
22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the Lord stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him."

Balaam was so excited that God had "changed His mind" about cursing the Israelites that he got up in the morning and went with the Moab princes and was thinking of some good curses to say over them. He didn't wait to see if they would come back to summon him again. He took it upon himself to go to them.

This was his iniquity, he went without being summoned, which is not what God told him to do, and he wanted to curse the Israelites. When God tells us in His Torah that if anyone curses Israel they will be cursed instead, He means it. When God tells us in His Torah to obey Him and His Ways, He means it.

This is why we should always obey God's Torah and do only what he tells us to do, and be careful how we talk to others. We should not assume we know better than He does and go do our own thing, and we should never curse His children in any way, shape, or form. To do so brings curses on us. To disobey God's Torah, and to curse His Children, is "madness" (verse 16 below).

That's why God made the donkey speak and rebuke Balaam. The donkey had tried to warn Balaam three times but He wouldn't listen. After the 3rd time, God cause her to be able to speak and openly rebuked Balaam asking why he had struck her. Balaam was furious with her and said that he would have killed her if he had his sword in his hand. That's when God opened Balaam's eyes to see His Angel standing in front of him. The Angel rebuked him for not listening to the donkey because she is just a servant trying to warn him of the danger coming for his disobedience to God's Word. The donkey obeyed and the Angel said if it weren't for her he would have killed Balaam because of his perverseness(vs.32) and saved her alive (vs.33 below):

Numbers 22:27-34
"27 And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
28 And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay.
31 Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
32 And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
33 And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.
34 And Balaam said unto the angel of the Lord, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again."

Balaam was rebuked by the donkey and by the Angel of God for his perverseness in disobeying God's Word.
2 Peter 2:16
"16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet."

The Angel reminded Balaam to only listen to and do that which God had and would say to him:

Numbers 22:12, 20, 35
"12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed."
"20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do."
"35 And the angel of the Lord said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak."

Those who go out on their own and do what they think is right, and not what God says is right, "are wells without water" and "clouds that are carried with a tempest". Their place in the mist of darkness is reserved for them for ever.

2 Peter 2: 17
"17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever."

Those who preach against the Word of God play on the desires of the old nature, in order to seduce with debaucheries people who have just begun to escape from those whose way of life is wrong:

2 Peter 2:18
"18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error."

They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for a person is slave to whatever has defeated him...

2 Peter 2:19
"19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage."

If they have once escaped the pollutions of the world through knowing our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah, and then have again become entangled and defeated by them, their latter condition has become worse than their former...

2 Peter 2:20
"20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning."

It would have been better for them not to have known the Way of righteousness than, fully knowing, to turn from the holy command delivered to them...

2 Peter 2:21
"21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them."

A dog returns to its own vomit... The pig washed itself, only to wallow in the mud!

2 Peter 2:22
"22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."
